That is great! Thanks Daniel. Great for checking die clashes and other goodies.

I have some software that allows me to flop coins and produce overlays as such. This is a heck of a lot faster.

Good info. Thank you Pahwa for posting this and ALL the rest for your expertise. I appreciate the education. I'm barely past putting a cent into a 2x2 and labeling it because it has a crooked mintmark... LOL.

And Okiemac is a she...... widegrin

We all went through keeping the crooked mint marks or any other anomoly. It's a good thing, label them for what they are, then you will amass a huge reference over time. It's almost like a picture book.

Yeah, me too. And Daniel says it's okay too. Thank you. :)

I am still looking for my other 2004 D ear dent/gouge/scratch/not likely double/strike.... I did the same as you Pahwa. But I kept the first one, then discarded the second thinking "oh, that's normal"... Anyway, I'll look for it to see if they are indeed indentical. Maybe worth a look if so (thanks Roger for the advice there). And...... I'm bored.

Okay... I have looked at it under the new usb microscope. Here is the one I have. Not the same as yours Pahwa. Don't think I'll look for the other one.... I'm guessing I have a double contact mark/dent/strike/badly peirced ear....

That is interesting. The top picture has what looks like a strike on the lob. That straight line at least to me looks like a strike. What is curious about the lobe, to anyway, is the lower rounded area below what I think is a strike. We will have to wait to see what the experts have to say about it. They do look a lot alike.

Yup..looks like it took a couple of hits.If every thing were level you would have a normal size ear and that is what I look for.
