My last post didn't post....anyway, I've never heard of a coin cracking from being frozen/heated so I just wondered where you got that info. Like NoLife said, it looks like lamination.

Thats what we all thought when I first posted it, hovever there are 6 different error spots on it. Not very likely to happen on one coin that many times in different areas. I love my scope really helps to define what I am seeing most of the time. Anyhow this is one that I kept. :w

I could see it happening if it was already a lamination peeling.

It is a neat coin. Great find! I am by no means any expert but it sort of looks like lamination cracks. I guess the reason why I say that is that in the die cracks [at least what I am calling them] has additional metal in or on the crack. Like when the coin was stamped, a minute amount of copper went into the crack making it a positive impression like the letters. The lams seem to be flat and peeling. But I am not expert that is for certain. The obverse cracks are very cool as they seem to be more so random than the reverse cracks which seem to related to the corners of the memorial though they can be random as well.
