We need to see In God We Trust up close...the 1972's have master die doubling on about half of the coins minted.

It does appear that a few are being found, can you post an image of the motto?

I didn't see anything significant on the motto or liberty which is one of the reasons why I had doubts.

Is that the 1972 coin that lines on top of the N in IN God WE TRUST pop out? I never kept those, but never thought that it would be master die doubling. I thought it was a worn die.
I like work; it fascinates me.
I can sit and look at it for hours.

LWH36, the master die doubling is visible on the N and D most easily...along with date....depending on condition,a few other places as well.It is also found on D and S coins.

I didn't notice the doubling on other parts of the coin, but I'll look.

This is off topic, but what is the coin under the RUM in COIN HELP! FORUM at the top of the page? It looks to me like a lincoln cent without IN God WE TRUST.

It's a regular Lincoln Cent, and it was accidental that I cut it short of the motto. Just wasn't a consideration either way.
