I am can't tell what this is, could you remove the coin from the plastic sheet and post another image? It would help eliminate the glare. Thanks!

Re: hot springs state quarter error?
My personal opinion tells me this coin was caught in a coin counter wheel. So, that wouldn't be a mint error.

All of my state park quarters have that circle on the back its part of the mint this is the only one that has it on the front.

If it was a die crack then it wouldn't looked scratched or gouge like this. A coin gettig stuck in a counting machine will impart marks sinilar this one and I have had it happen to my coins.

Re: hot springs state quarter error?
The coins are sent to a company that rolls the coins for the US Mint and this is a extremely common on ends coins when it comes to bank wrapped rolls. The surface of the coin is gouged and in an obvious circular pattern, and I am 100% positive this does not occur during the minting process and is post mint damage.
I have ran so many coins through counting machines and rolling coins that this can happen often, coins jam easily.
