Hello everyone.
When search thru the old changed, I found this 1989P penny, with the reverse has no FG initial on it.
Thanks for any opinions, gentleman.

Very interesting. You found something there and it appears the FG was polished off if that's die file marks I am seeing.

I have to agree with you there D. I enlarged it to 800% and it really looks like file marks. It is an interesting coin. What you think Maineman?

Yes, it appears to have been overly abraded.But I can still see a hint of the initials. There is one cent I know of (1969-D) that brings a premium for the missing initials FG, but there can be no trace at all in order to be slabbed. Still a cool find and I would probably keep it...I have a 94 much like this 89. Just a conversation piece for me.

:greatfind: I think Maineman is right about the initials needing to be completely gone to really make it worth something. Very neat coin though. I don't think I've ever come across one with the initials that weak.
