1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Our community is not a soap box for complaining or drama, so please refrain from doing so here.[/size]

Overdate Nickel?
I'm not really sure on this one. Might be nothing, but I just thought I'd ask for a second opinion. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Overdate Nickel?
I didn't find it in my Cherry Picker's Guide but you have found something good. it looks like an overdate but a doubled die isn't completely out of the question.

Re: Overdate Nickel?
My new microscope is slowing paying off. I can't imagine how long it would have taken me to get a picture of that using my old method with just my camera and loupe :l

Im very happy with it. Its just a kids microscope that has an attachment that u can mount a camera to it. Works great so far. I picked it up at a garage sale for $10 they sell for around $40 with shipping on ebay. I post the link latter so you guys can check it out if you want.

Here is the link to one like mine on ebay. All I used to take that picture above was the microscope, the camera support (see object above the microscope in the case), my 8mp digital camera, and an external lamp for some extra light.

1867. I thought I seen a little doubling on the 7, but it didn't come through when I took the photos. Probably just me seeing things. The 8 and the 6 you can't miss.Maineman750 wrote:What year is the nickel ?
