Hello everyone!!
After roll hunting this evening, my husband came across this 1951 and we are confused. The pieces missing from the obverse are on the reverse, as if they were somehow pushed through the coin. Never have we seen anything like this. How does something like this happen? Is it special? Hoping to shed some light on this - thanks guys!

Hey J, I hope whoever did that "plug" doesn't build race car chassis for a living. People drill holes in coins to wear as necklaces, then someone tries to "Plug" it and make it look like the hole never happened, of course yours is not the greatest example of this. But keep searching and learning.
