1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). 1972 Lincoln cent- closer pic.
I wasn't sure if a closer picture would help. Any comment would be appreciated, even if it's just "add this to your copper stack". Thanks.

I see an extreme close-up image of the date, and a obverse image of a Lincoln Cent......

I posted the other pictures saturday. I was just trying to figure out if what i see on the date is normal for age and wear or if its doubling.

Re: 1972 Lincoln cent- closer pic.
thank you! i will add it to my copper stack. I'm sorry i didn't post on the original thread. Thanks so much for your help. I'm guessing you're familiar with "newbies" who think they find something special every other coin. I'm trying not to do that. I've been giving myself a 1 in 20 rule- if i see something I think is special I wait to ask about it until I've compared it with 20 more of the same date and it's still different. I believe my biggest problem is I'm having a hard time differentiating die deterioration from something that might be special. Comes with practice I guess.

The only time you should make two topics is when they are two separate coins other wise you should post them in the following manner:
This post is just for general help, as it helps whoever is looking at the coin an easier, more accurate way, along with a quicker response.
When posting photos of a coin you would like someone to look at, you should post a photo of the full Obverse and Reverse. Try to take these photos as clear and close as possible. It would also be helpful if you could crop these photos. Next, take the photos of the area in question again as clear as possible. If you could find some way to point out the area you would like looked at. Either by using a photo editing program, or a very good description of the area. If you do not have one there are three free programs you can get. They are PhotoScape, Inkscape and Gimp. Of all of them PhotoScape is by far the easiest to learn and use.
Please understand the following is not meant to judge any person and is just a recommendation.
If you have more than one coin you want someone to look at, you should make separate posts for each coin (new topic for each coin). This will make it easier for someone to look at and give you a more accurate opinion of the coin. Posting them in the same post can make it be confusing to follow the coins.
Thanks
