The front and back of this dime stick out further then the copper core on the side.

This dime looks like an Oreo cookie. The front and back of the dime stick out further then the copper core on the inside. The copper is indented. I tried taking pictures to show the error. Can they miss putting the clad layer on the outside edge of the dime?

Acid is used to do this, copper reacts differently than the nickel/copper outer core.
