3 PROOF Lincoln cents found today in one box of coins

#1 Unread post by Making Cents »

I found these three Proof Coins doing a penny hunt today. My first proof and what do you know I find 3 of them. How fantastic.

The 1990 coin when I looked it up, I found out there is an error coin where the "S" is missing. I believe someone altered this coin by trying to remove the "S" and when they realized it wasn't going to work they put in circulation. (Hoping I'm wrong and it's really the error coin :))

I would like your thoughts on it.

I agree someone tried to remove the S but they put in circulation to fool someone, some people think that's funny.
