I see either plating issue or die deterioration issues. You should always look your coin up at CONECA or Wexlers doubled die website.

I looked on copper coins as you said and this is one of the varieties mentioned. But okay thanks.

Hey KenzoMack, you did the right thing looking at Coppercoins for repunched mm. You have a small date '82 D and all that is listed at least on Coppercoins that I could find were varieties for large date. Also, I enlarged the picture of the mintmark. I couldn't see anything that would tell me there was an RPM. On the west side of the D there was a hit that damaged both the bottom and top serif's. So if there were split serifs they were obliterated by the damage. Sorry, sure wish I could tell you that there was hope for an RPM. Keep on looking, sometimes it takes boxes and rolls and rolls to find anything. Good luck.

Now I didn't check the forementioned sites that may list RPM's for small date '82 D's. But looking at your coin, I think that would be futile.
