Hi, you know, I noticed that from the years 1980-1989
1989 is a year with thousands of errors,
I am not focused on those errors,
for me, who I do not know much about this details ,
it is exhausting, but i think that its very notory... I suppose that the patterns must be clear to a expert.
Die Deterioration??

Re: Die Deterioration??
Not thousands, just minor anomalies from die deterioration and what not, very common and not worthy of noting. Look for doubled dies and such. Listed doubled dies.
Re: Die Deterioration??
Well, that's what I tried to say, but gently.
For me when talking about thousands of coins it is like referring to common currencies
no more than the nominal value.
And... when I say " gently "
I do not do more than refer to your safety vs my insecurity for maybe saying some what can, bad inform.

I'm not sure where you are using to check you coins for doubled dies, or for other types errors. What I have found what works for me. I open PCSG's price listing. As I search the rolls I will of course take my wheat cents and pull them out. I have some aluminum bread pans. They are labeled xxx0-xxx9 along with 2xxx. When I'm done and have completed searching I will take one further step, I will short them by year. I do not open Copper Coins, Variety Vista or Wexler's Doubled Dies. I will us PCSG's price guide to check what they list as a doubled die for that year. Copper Coins and some of the other sites list errors and doubled dies which are basically a waste to look for. What would like to find, a 25C doubled die or error or something a lot more valuable? Personally I would like to find something listed on the PCGS price guide, then having to up 8 pages for very minor and not worth your time. This is just my way of roll searching.
Thanks

Re: Die Deterioration??
Thanks a lot DScoins
A bit similar as I do, I usually use the wexler page, it explains in detail each piece that you are looking for. and he didn't really look for any particular piece, I'm here thanks to a depreciation that happened 4 years ago, numismatic is without a doubt the best therapy that we could find apart from streamlining your mind and basically help the vocabulary.
I was impressed by the details cradled in the Lincoln memorial,
for example the face of the 1969 penny is one of the most impressive because it seems that the scratches that go to date, the eye, the eyebrow and the Lincoln's lip makes it even more special to me,
And similar 1970s but the scratches go from the eye. now my intention is actually to sell so they get into the right hands.
