1942s DDO-001 Stage B Jefferson nickel (One of the 11)
1942s DDO-001 Stage A or early B Jefferson nickel (Be sure to enlarge the images for best viewing of the doubling)
Here is the V.V. LINK http://www.varietyvista.com/04a%20JN%20 ... DDO001.htm
I was hoping for 1 but couldn't imagine there would be 4 varieties in the group of 11 Jefferson war nickels I won last week.
Don't really collect nickels, so I'm wondering how hard is it to come across Ms Jefferson varieties?
Thanks for looking and any comments.

Markers for this one are the die cracks at the lower right building corner and through the top of CENTS.

Re: 1942s DDO-001 Stage B Jefferson nickel (One of the 11)
The images were all taken with a Droid phone with an 8" round articulating light. I will spin the coin and phone together to get the best angle on the light. The really clear closeups are quite a balancing act. They are done while balancing the coin on one finger, tilting the coin, and moving around the light source until the areas I'm trying to capture are highlighted. The internal operating system seems does well to reduce glare and it can be difficult to keep it from moving which means balancing all this on a steady surface of some sort. The phone does a decent job and does give me fits sometimes with clear closeups but has done a good job on these shiny nickels. Full coin shots were just the phone and closeups were with a clip on macro-lens.
The clip on I use is kind of long, which can interfere with the light sometimes. I have to take lots of images because it is hard to determine which are in decent focus or shows the notching or separation properly once it goes from a small screen to the monitor.
BTW- When I save the image on my PC, I make note in the title of how nice the image is (something like; OK, Good, very good, excellent or very excellent. I do this so I can find the best images when posting or sharing.
