Found this 1965 Penny it's smaller than a penny and thinner than a dime any thoughts on this if could be wrong Planchet

These are really difficult to attribute online with just images........

Do you have an exact "diameter" here?

Is the last image that you posted a size reference to a normal cent?

Would dipping the coin in nitric acid cause the lines on the edge of the coin Daniel, I'm just trying to learn, not doubting you.

I get you say you're trying to learn but you're actually doubting correct information and wasting time on a damaged coin. Even struck on a thin planchet isn't worth sending off for grading and this coin isn't struck on a wrong planchet. Once those are ruled out it is a must to move onto the next coin.
