1969 S DDO

#1 Unread post by Coin Dawgs » Fri Jan 18, 2019 12:13 am

I recently found a 1969 S penny which appears to show doubling on 1969 and the S. It is difficult to determine whether any letters in Liberty are doubled due to the condition of the coin. Can anyone tell me if this is a DDO or some other type of error. The photos attached were taken from my coin microscope but they are not the best quality.

Thanks. I will upload photos of the front and back of the coin. Very new to coin collecting (less than 6 months) and was unsure if it was the DDO or machine doubling. These photos were taken with my phone but I will try to get better images from the USB microscope.
