Help ID other coin issue

#1 Unread post by Jevcreations »

Unsure where to post this question. All the dark areas are raised with some reverse marks and kind of sharp edges.
I am not sure what’s going on here. Is this something I should try to remove? Any help is apricated.

It looks like a glue or a paste.

Hmmm then this might be a good candidate for me to try some acetone. At first I thought it was some type of gunk like glue, but it looks and feels too metallic to be glue. My next thought was some type of welding substance (like JB weld) but some edges appear copper and I can’t locate a seam. Non-the less, I feel challenged to figure it out.
Thanks so much for the help and input!

I agree with Paul about the glue.
Trying the acetone sounds like a good idea if it is glue.
