1858 canada 5 cent double stamp or doubled die?
After checking out Canada's list of coin errors I'm stuck between either a double stamp or a doubled die, since the entire obverse is doubled I'm leaning more toward a double strike. What I'm wondering is does it add much in the way of value? I can't find anything that is comparable to get an idea of the coins value. Actually it looks like a doubled die that was double struck?

My phones cam isn't the greatest but here it is, it's encapsulated inside a polycarb holder which is scratched as well so not the clearest pics...

It is a multiple strike based on the deformation of the left side rim, the coin failed to be completely removed from the coining chamber and was struck again.

A fantastic example. Have you had it long?
I'm guessing you cherry picked this one, and it wasn't labeled by a seller?
Congratulations.

It was actually in a box of coins and other things that i bought at a yard sale and no it wasn't labeled and it looks like someone encapsulated this one and a few others themselves, it's not graded or anything. I kind of figured it was a multiple strike I'm just curious what kind of value it holds, I'll post some pics of another old one that was in the box that I'm curious about.

Not sure about the value but I do know that the more dramatic an error is the more desirable it is which helps the value.
Congratulations again.
