Question about a 1967 dime
Could someone look at this coin for me .. I've spent a lot of time trying to get anyone who knows anything about coins to just look at it for me.. and it's really difficult trying to find someone for just a couple seconds of there time to tell me whether it's something, or nothing...
.. I don't know much about coins, but I'd really just like to send a
picture or two of this dime I have.. and see if it's accidentally like this
or ... Somehow was made like this..
It's a 1967 dime with a bubble on the fourhead, and another one on the bottom of his head, but if you flip it over you can also see both bubbles on the back.. ?

Re: Question about a 1967 dime
Need images of both sides but this is usually caused by a welding arc, so when the coin is struck with a hot and fast flash of heat and it can cause the clad layer to to bubble from the rapidly expanding gas. I wouldn't be a mint error but damage with no extra value.

It is a neat effect (I found a similar dime also) but I agree with Daniel.Daniel wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 6:25 am Need images of both sides but this is usually caused by a welding arc, so when the coin is struck with a hot and fast flash of heat and it can cause the clad layer to to bubble from the rapidly expanding gas. A BB would put an indent on one side of the coin where the BB hit. Both sides have the surface "bubbling" up in this case. You can even see where the bubble on the lower left of the reverse has "deflated".

Re: Question about a 1967 dime
I actually have a similar looking dime with the bubbles in the same spot.
