1865 Plain 5 - IHC - S8

#1 Unread post by mhonzell »

A very minor variety on the 1865 Plain 5 IHC.
The 1 in the date has been repunched.

Die markers are the die lines found in the denticles below the 5.

You may have noticed I've upgraded a few of my IHCs. My collection now has an average grade just above MS-60 for the set of 58 coins.

Impressive to say the least. What does your 1877 look like?

It is still a XF45 with a number of contact marks. It is 1 of 5 left to upgrade.

Just noticed I did it again...
I said RPM when I meant RPD.

The Fancy 5 has a bigger dip in the upper bar.
