I'm assuming you mean post mint damaged? I'm not disagreeing I just think that the additional date on the shoulder and the fact that is a different date was odd and then my question was how is that types of error possible if at all because there is not any marking on the opposite side.although it is slightly concave and the other coin I will send photos of as soon as I get home tonight ..

I could hammer a nail into a coin or the edge of another coin or metal object and there would be no evidence of this on the other side as long as it is shallow enough. All of these are contact marks and someone scratching the coin. This does not happen at the mint, the striking pressure if in tons and when something is struck through it doesn't look like this.

The dime was damaged with a chisel or screw driver and is post mint damage; someone was playing with these coins.

I agree with Daniel and Paul.
The extra 9 is reversed and incuse into the shoulder which is a sign of a "vise job" coin. Two coins placed together and pressed into each other with a vise, hammer or other heavy object.
