PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). 1982 p Quarter green yellow color
Hello, can anyone tell me about my 1982 P Quarter, The color is a greenish to yellow color, it weighs 5.5g, the letter P is filled in. It's the color mostly I would like to know about. The pictures are not as pretty looking as the coin really is. I have never found one this color on a quarter before. I have black ones, brown ones, super dark brown ones but no green or yellow. Thank you

coins can take on a whole host of 'rainbow colors'....
... this happens when the 'differing metal compositions' of coins, come in contact with an adjacent or surrounding substrate that imparts a "metallurgical change" (A.K.A. = Tone) to the composition of that particular coin ... yours turned out 'GREEN' ... JMO
