I just started searching for error coins so im not to familiar of the deference between mechanical doubling and a double die.
So could someone tell me if this is a double die or not?

Welcome.
I'm with Paul. Really can't tell from these images.
Lighting can really play tricks on the eyes. And the shinier the coin the more difficult it is to see.

To me it looks like the secondary is flat and shelf like and if that is the case then this is machine doubling but not a doubled die.
