Nice proof set with damage to the penny, never been opened.
Should I get it graded and slabed as a set or just the penny by itself.
And if just the penny, then should I remove it from the slab or send the set in hold and let the grading company remove it that way the coin was never handled by anyone or tampered with.
If anything, thanks for letting me share my find with you all,Happy Holidays to you all and good hunting.
Nice proof mint flaw that escape quality control.

Looks like a strike-through. But, cannot tell if raised or incuse.
I agree with Paul, keep it in the original package.

Congrats on the nice find. I was thinking planchet flaw as well.
As deep as that one is I would think something causing a strike through would still be there since they handle the proof coins more carefully than a business strike.
