Nice proof mint flaw that escape quality control.
Nice proof set with damage to the penny,never been opened.
Should I get it graded and slabed as a set or just the penny by itself.
And if just the penny, then should I remove it from the slab or send the set in hold and let the grading company remove it that way the coin was never handled by anyone or tampered with.

if it were me,.....i would keep ALL the original coins together in the OMP (original mint packaging).....JMO

Looks like a strike-through. But, cannot tell if raised or incuse.
I agree with Paul, keep it in the original package.

Wow,so fast on the reply. It's incuse,I tried to zoom in more but with the case it started to glare.I was hoping to hear,keep it as a set....thanks.

Congrats on the nice find. I was thinking planchet flaw as well.
As deep as that one is I would think something causing a strike through would still be there since they handle the proof coins more carefully than a business strike.

Looks like a planchet flaw to me as well.
