Not because of it being a large date variety.
Or are you asking because of it being misaligned?

Only if the coin is a small date with a D and is copper.

I have a few of the 1982 small date no mint or Philly mint copper cents. Do they even merit a value above face.

These are common and normal unless it is a small date with a D mint mark and struck on a copper planchet. Otherwise they're face value unless they're graded and certified MS66 or better.
