1968 no s proof dime

#1 Unread post by alexandr » Fri Dec 01, 2017 6:37 am

Hello,

I came across a roosevelt dime dated 1968 that has no s mint mark on it. Can someone help me to determine whether this coin is one of the rare proof coins and worth anything? I attached the picture for reference.

Thank you, Alexandr

It's not a proof coin but a business strike and when this date has no mint mark it was minted at the Philadelphia Mint. So it is normal and not rare. P were not added until 1980 on the Roosevelt Dimes.

A proof coin will look like this.
