New member seeking info on possible mint error on my recently acquired 2017 Palladium Eagle. I pre-ordered it from a reputable coin store and it is MS70 First Day Issue NGC certified.
Upon examination of the coin, I noticed on the obverse that the upper right rim of the coin by the “E” and “R” in LIBERTY is at least half as thick as the lower left, causing it to appear uncentered. The reverse looks centered and appears to be normal.
The pictures of palladium eagles that I compared it to online from the mint and online stores seem more symmetrical.
Is this a mint error? Finning or broadstrike type error? Please advise.
Finning Error?

Re: Finning Error?
As described, this would be a misaligned die, or MAD. Helps if we can see both sides of the coin.
Small amounts of misalignment are within tolerance for a coin and add no value to the coin, but should have been a point off for grading of the coin. (At least in my opinion.)

Re: Finning Error?
I agree this is a slight obverse die alignment but within mint tolerances. However, MS grades are first and foremost based on the amount of contact marks and not if the coin is an error, toned or looks nice. I say that just to save on confusion about grading.
Also this doesn't add any extra value.
