I didn't consider that because I've always thought that in the case of die cracks, the crack or "line" was raised? Is that just a myth?

ok, I'll try to examine it as close as I can to determine. Upon magnification, some parts do appear raised. Thank you.

I have a dime I believe to be D and have Factory errors flaws least three different kinds it's a 1971

This coin is badly damaged and is not a mint error, no where during the minting process could this happen to a coin.
