2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. 2003 Lincoln w/double chin
:dunno I was going through my penny jar and found this, along with a few wheats. I'm brand new to collecting (within days) but thought I'd find out about it. Notice the front of his neck area, under his chin. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Your coin is not a double chin but I do see what you're talking about. I can't make the details out because the image is blurry. It could be a clear substance on the coin, have you tried to poke it with a toothpick?

There. I tried taking more pics. It's hard to zoom much without it getting blurry. The pic with his head pointing southeast shows it the best. Toothpick didn't do anything, it's part of the coin. There is even a scratch on the coin that runs across it.

I also have this 2011 Quarter I was curious about. The edges. I have many more coins to go through too, so if u don't mind, I may be a bit of a pest for a while. :yourock:

We don't mind at all but it is better if you start a new topic for each coin.
On the cent, in order for there to be a raised area on the coin, this part of the die had to be missing and from the images it does not look like a die break and I have not seen a die break look like this.
A toothpick might not remove it so this needs looked at under a microscope or an expert eye. Clear epoxy will allow the copper color to show through and it will not remove easy and can be scratched and even collect dirt.
