With the recent discovery of the 1982-D Small Date Copper planchet I have received several emails asking about this coin. The 1982-D Small Date is NOT supposed to be struck on a 95% copper planchet that weighs around 3.11g, it is supposed to be a copper plated zinc planchet that weighs 2.5g. So a 1982-D Lincoln Cent is not worth more than a cent unless the planchet is brass or "copper".
So I wrote a little guide to help those that are confused about this issue and new variety or type discovery.

Re: 1982 Lincoln Memorial Cent Large Date Small Date
OK, but I thought a "95% copper" cent was supposed to weigh 3.11 grams (+/- 5%).
