Washington Quarter 1971-S DDR or TDR??
I am seeing 3 and 4 lines in places on the obverse of this coin and I am wondering if it is a TDR.

It may be helpful for you to review images of doubling/tripling
........ it is also a good practice to only image coins raw, out of their holders

Here is a way to find immediate answers when find something you suspect is a doubled die or RPM:

Note:
If you do not find your coin using this easy method, then you most likely have a damaged coin or other issues like (non collectable) machine doubling, die deterioration doubling, etc. (look these up at error-ref.com)

All of these images are RAW. It was difficult to get the angle an71d light just right but it looks to me that this quarter matches the 1971-S DDR on VAriety Vista.
Thanks Again,

I would recommend learning the minting process for proof coinage…

Re: Washington Quarter 1971-S DDR or TDR??
All proof coins are stuck more than once, there might be a few exceptions, but you will see this often when you examine proof coins. Also remember these coins are very reflective and you will see reflective doubling that goes away when you turn the coin, then there's mechanical type doubling as well. So proofs can be very confusing and why we ask people to study the images at CONECA variety vista and try to find matches. Even PCGS price guide has some good images for to research.
