Is This The 1955 D FS-503?

#1 Unread post by MLC »

I Just Found This Penny It looks like a D/S, But I don't think They Made D/S in 1955 D. So If it Isn't The D/S Is it the FS-503?
I Will Get Full pictures of the coin probably some time tomorrow Just do the best you can for now.
Thanks.

I don't see the FS-503. It looks like it maybe nothing at all, but will let those with more knowable then me chime in and say. You should also post photos of the entire Obverse and reverse cropped. With any coin the powers that be (those with a lot more knowledge) like to see both sides of the coin.
If you go to the PCGS FS-503 red Along with PCGS FS-503 Brown you will see what the 503 looks like in greater detail.

The D that he sees if off set downward much more than the FS-503 plus there are no spit serifs on the back part of the D. Compared to the PCGS photos of both red and brown I can't see as the FS-503.

I don't see an RPM, and agree with Paul there is no OMM for this date that is known.
