2017 d new jersey quarter
found two quarters just alike in a roll, there seems to be a piece of machinery embossed on the bust in eye and under chin. two months later found a third one exact same.is there a value on these or others like them.

Can't see anything on your coins, images are not cropped and they're blurry. Sorry

Re: 2017 d new jersey quarter
I hugeeyes a clash mark "under the chin"....
Using these pictures for attribution, the others appear to be circulation issues..... :dunno

Re: 2017 d new jersey quarter
Okay, I agree the marks on the eyelashes and under the chin do look like clash marks, thanks.
But, I don't think the arrow in the second picture showed you what I'm talking about. It's definitely not a clash mark, it looks like a big piece of metal embedded in the neck area under the ear. Here's another picture where I have outlined the entire mark, and another picture where I have circled the area in question. Remember, I have three of these, all identical. Thanks again for your help, it is appreciated.

Re: 2017 d new jersey quarter
It's a clash mark and sometimes they're only partial clash marks. embedded or rolled in metal wouldn't look like this. Some clash marks are partially removed so you need to do an over-lay.
Re: 2017 d new jersey quarter
2017 quarter; you have a great website and are very helpful but how can you say the area on neck is normal circulation or clash marks ? it is clearly a piece of metal my question is have you seen anything like this? again thank you for your input

Re: 2017 d new jersey quarter
Because I know what a clash mark looks like and they change from die stage to die stage and if an employee tries to move some of it. Use error-ref.com and study die clashes.
