Scale agrivation..

Unread post by j_a/forever » Sat Jan 07, 2017 4:36 am

Okay well i recentally got a scale to weigh some of my missing clad layer coins and some of my orders just to make sure they are not fake. But I feel as Though I am missing something that is right in front of my face I have in front of Me the AWS-100 scale but in grams for example, a brand new 2016 quarter should weigh about 5.6 grams but it is showing up on my scale as 26+ grams. I'm confused. Any ideas? I have done everything flat hard surface, no air ventilation in the room just to be safe sense it is a super sensitive scale. I calibrated it. I just can't figure it out

It seems to me you might be confusing grams with grains. I can't be sure without looking at your scales and what's showing in the window.

Then, shouldn't a brand new 2016 Quarter weigh about 86.4 grains?

j/s forever: Can you tell us what this $10 scale indicates when you put it on the "grains" (gn) scale?

I'm positive I'm not getting any of the weighing units mixed up. It is coming up grams=g or I can change it to carats or grains. I am simply not sure. I'll take a picture after while ad show yall
