The yellow slabs is when they first moved to Denver and then they changed them to blue, not sure if they moved again. I know they used to be in my home state Ohio and that's when they used the white, "soap" bar slabs.

Paul, they moved twice. When they first moved from Ohio, they used blue slabs., now yellow. I got the first 4 years of Pres dollar proofs done by them, sixteen coins in each set.2007 and 2008 were blue years, the last and even now they are yellow. It really aggravated me because I put together sets of these for me and my grandchildren. So half of each set is blue . I ended up with a lot of sets. The first 2 years the Pres dollars were poor. I wanted 69-70 only. Got mostly Proof 69 DCAM the last 2 years. I have still about 5 extra sets. You reminded me of how aggravated they made me. Really, the great historic Presidents went from Washinton to Lincoln! I used one set to teach my students the Presidents, cause I taught up to the Civil War. I put a couple of sets up for auction at Great Collections. Got about $160 a set, kind of lost my A##. Dan

i only ask, as i just bought a 'recent' NGC slabbed indian. i use NGC for storing my stuff... don't really care about the label/grade, but they had, i say had, the best 'quality' slabs. but, i wonder if they changed holder supply venders.
this slab has a big 'ol scratch, but look at the 'plastic' now.....it just makes the high res images i snap look krappy.
