2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. You can tell by the date font that this isn't an authentic Morgan Dollar, plus there's never been a business strike 1895 discovered. All of them are proofs and this coin is not a proof anyway.
I should also mention to test this coin with a magnet and post an image of the reverse just in case someone rubbed the mint mark off and I am incorrect about the fonts.

You have to compare it to the authentic images I posted, the mouth is wrong and so is the thickness of the lettering. and the ball of the 9 is too high. I am positive it's not authentic.

The lettering is too think and not uniform, it's most certainly a fake, if you need a second opinion then send it to ANACS. You don't have to be a member and they're great on authenticating Morgan Dollars.

Here are photos of an authentic 1895 proof. Otherwise, I certainly agree with all comments posted previously.

Re: 1895 morgan is it real??help
I just noticed the post that the OPs coin has a rubbed out S mintmark. I can't figure out yet how to post a photo, but there are 7 VAM varieties associated with 1895-S. Six have photos of the date. http://www.vamworld.com/1895-S+VAMs The date placement is the same on all 6. The left edge of the 1 begins at the center of a denticle in each variety. In the OPs photo, the left edge of the 1 begins at the left edge of a denticle. The date on the OPs photo is also nearer to the tip of the bust than on the 6 1895-S varieties. I can only agree that the OPs coin is not authentic. It would have been a shame if someone damaged an authentic 1895-S to counterfeit an 1895 business strike.
Six of the 7 varieties of the 1895-O pictured also do not match the date placement of the OP's coin.
