I just started collecting coins about a 6 months ago so I am still very new to this! I can't always tell if I have an error coin or a regular coin that has lots of scratches on it! I found a 1988p quarter that looks like it has a circular cut on the front and back! Just wanted to know if it is worth keeping? Thanks in advance

Thanks so much for the reply. I sometimes google my questions but dont always get the correct response so I thought this would be a great place to start! I have a couple of coins that I dont even know what they are I have tried to google them but no luck yet! Thanks again!!

I agree with PMD as well. It appears someone took a round object and hammered one end as the other end was against the coin. Maybe some time of metal pipe is what it looks like.
