2018 D Dime - what causes this kind of field?
I came upon this dime and I've never seen this kind of field before. Looks like half proof like and half satin/matte finish.

Denver mint coins often have a semi-proof like finish and it is commonly seen.

This unique toning that appears like a "Radial Starburst", is how the surface of the coin picked up its tone,..... in direct relation to the die state at the time of the strike
