I have this really nice 1907 woody indian head cent I think its around AU55-AU58. That would be around $30-$40 but I was wondering if the wood pattern adds any value? couldnt find any listings on ebay.

If it doesn't add eye appeal then it does not add value, most cents that look like this have less eye appeal.

I do not know how this could be a "Woody"?
The 1907 Indian cents were solid bronze, so I'm not sure how there would be an improper metal mixture?

Re: What would this woody cent be worth?
Ok 1st off the earliest indian cents were nickel/copper alloy not bronze but that doesn't apply here.
2nd Bronze is also an "Alloy" a mixture of copper and tin and were more prone to "woody-ism" then modern copper cents.
3rd... as for value.... woodies are an odd catagory... there are those that collect them avidly and will pay quiet a premium even for a mild example like yours. However Dan is also correct in that the premium directly relates to eye appeal so in this case it would really depend on the buyer as yours shows a definite "woody-ism" (hey i like the word real or not :P) it is still "minor". I have only 1 Indian woody myself but I think she's a beaut :D

Common grading company shortcomings & resulting co$tly mi$take$ to collectors (using Kennedy No FG halves):

Re: What would this woody cent be worth?
hehe not quite as nice as it appears... that is a major rim ding at the top (black background hides it) just enough to most likely make it a "details" coin :D but it looks great in my album lol
