star notes

my girlfriend had these...are they worth anything...1996 50$ star note...1990 20$ star note...pictures are good...thank you

There are collectors of star notes out there and they do sometimes pay a small premium.Usually the rarer notes get more of a premium for being star notes. I would look on eBay at the completed auctions to get an idea if they are worth saving.

The condition, and rarity (as already pointed out) is key to a Star Note's value. However, any star not in mint or very close to mint condition is worth a premium. I would hang onto them unless you need the money.

The $50 Star Note is a nice find considering many people can't hold onto a $50 bill :D
