Medal: Celebrating the Jubilee - the 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, 1897.
Obverse: Portrait of Queen Victoria turned to the left. Wearing a veiled coronet, earrings, necklace and with the Garter Star on her left breast. Signed beneath the bust TB. Border VICTORIA ANNUM REGNI SEXAGESIMUM FELICITER CLAUDIT XX. IUN MDCCCXCVII.
Reverse: Portrait of the young Queen turned to the left. with the date 1837, the year of her accession to the throne, below a laurel branch. To her left LONGITUDO DIERUM IN DEXTERA EIUS, and to her right ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA. In the lower half (missing lid) of it original red presentation box, with royal blue velvet lining.

These are really nice medals and far from valueless. One like this can sell for $30+ and with case and better condition can fetch over $100.

I am not sure on that one Paul. I know some have production numbers or estimates but not sure about this Jubilee piece, there's a lot of different medals for this celebration.

Officially considered a token, this medallion was made in gold, silver, and bronze. Gold and silver versions were made in two sizes: 56 mm and ~25mm.
There were 246,270 silver tokens made.
