1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.

2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.

3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.

Rotate counterclockwise 90 degrees and you have a shield with two lions.
What's on the other side?

The type of lions and the shield make me think of the Shilling or Pence.

But, that's not much help... sorry.

West Frisia belongs to the Netherlands.
The lions appear on coins from that area inside the shield for that date.

Couldn't find the exact coin, but here's a sample:

Yeah it's sideways. It's a Netherland, West Friesland DUIT, I think.

There is actually a sample 1660 coin on the link I provided above. You have to press the camera icon to see it. About half way down the page. Worth about $25 according to that page.

Kind of interesting...
On the 1604 coin, the wreath leaflets point the opposite direction. Wonder what warranted that change.

I don't know, I guess it depended on what the engraver felt like doing.
