Need help to read the coin!

#1 Unread post by Philcoin »

Hello everyone.

I got this coin at the flea market recently, and I think that is Japanese coin but am not sure. I just need some opinions that help to identify the coin (where's it come from? what's the year date and denomination?).

Thanks for any feed back, gentleman.

Hi Philcoin
The coin is from Taiwan: It is a one yuan, made from copper-nickel-zinc. Coins of this type were minted from 1960 through 1970-1980.
As fare as value is concerned I am still working on that. But I some how doubt it is worth much, but that is just a guess on my part.
That being said, I can not take credit for this information, it was sent o me by a good friend who lives in the Russian Federation, Western Siberia, In the City of Tomsk.

Hope this helps for now, It gives you something to look for on the Internet.
All the best
Alan
