2001 Panama coin

#1 Unread post by pahwa »

Found this in a roll of pennies i got form a guy in FL. About the right size of a cent so I guess that is why it is there. I take it that it is a Panamanian cent.

A neat find to say the least. I always enjoy finding foreign coins when searching pennies. I think I have one similar to this one somewhere that I found in circulation as well. Some countries have some really interesting designs.

It's a surprise to find something odd in the change. I often find Canadian cents.

Oh it is a very cool find. Don't find to many foreign coins (Canada not included) in our bricks. I think I have found one other. My son Jeff got to add another cent to his foreign coin collection - well box that is. lol There are some neat coins out there. The other one I found has a pig on it. It is around here somewhere.

Hey Daniel, being like a 100 miles south of Canada we find lots of the Canadian cents. I have found more than a rolls worth in a brick before. I use to just put them back in the culls and send to the bank without even looking at them, Now with Canada stopping the penny production, I am keeping them. One never knows.... widegrin

I find tons of Canadians all the way down here too. Pahwa, the hog cent is from Bermuda....I've found quite a few of those too and a couple from Panama as well.
