1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Re: error?
Thanks for bringing this coin up. Yes it does appear to be a "hanging 3".
I wasn't familiar with what the term "Hanging 3" (or 1, 2, 4, 5, etc) referred to, so ..... boom..... just like that, fifteen minutes later, I got the answer. lol:
That does appear to be a clash above the 3, from Victoria's chin. Congratulations.

Re: error?
I agree but it's a die clash and so far there's not a real established value on these except some ebay hype.
Re: error?
Thank you guys! I have a big problem now though I have about 20 of them so what do I do with them. If it's only hype on ebay I don't want to cheat people. I was so excited to have finally found something real, is there any good news I'm going blind looking at so many coins! There's so much to learn and the craziest thing I've learned so far is how blind I was all these years I never gave a second thought or even notice how beautiful our coins are.The maple leaves on my pennies are spectacular! Oh and Daniel I watched your video on speaking to a coin dealer and I'm going to try to remember my guy is not really just an old curmudgeon and I will ask him if on days he is not too too busy if he would mind showing me what to look for. Thanks

Re: error?
Cool! Great to hear on the coin dealer thing. These are nice coins though just not valuable.

Like everything else though, remember that the beauty and value is in the eye of the beholder.
To me, they sound like they have value to you since you found them. They may or may not have value to others.

Re: error?
I would also place these in 2X2 holders if they all are as in nice a condition as this one. I used to live close to the border, had Canadian change in my pocket all the time, and found very few pennyies with luster on them that were over a year old. They seemed to tarnish very quickly.
