I'll be the first person to admit that I have not seen all that is out there, but I'm not sure this is an actual coin.

Both devices are rather crude. The text imitates Greek, but doesn't follow straight lines as it typically did on Greek coins. And, the letters just don't quite make out to be actual text.

Look at this example:

The points on the trident are squared, not rounded.
The text follows a straight line.
Devices are artistic, not whimsical.

Hopefully, someone else has an idea.

I think it's fake or a fantasy ancient coin.

If you look at Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Babylonian or even Inca,Aztec,Toltec and other civilizations of antiquity, all had more sophisticated images, people looked like people. I believe this to be a fake or like Daniel said, fantasy coinage. These guys look like the figures of Stonehenge.

Thanks mhonzell, Daniel and dipper13 for the voluble information. Yeah Seems it is fantasy coinage. Even I am not able to get the image of this coin on the search.

Warm Regards.

Just to update, in Google I found this coin as The Kushan king Kanishka and the reverse has Helios. The this coin was supposed to be minted at (127 C.E.).

But I am not sure the coin I have is original one or replicated :)

Glad you found a coin this one is based on!

That helps immensely and adds another coin to my visual collection. There are quite a few versions of this coin. (Mostly changes in the king's headdress.)

A Bactrain coin:
The text on the front should say: þAONANOþAO KA ... NηþKI KOþANO (King of Kings Kanishka Kushan).
In particular, look at the four letters I circled on the coin below and compare with yours.
On the reverse, to the right, should be: OKþO , or MIIPO, or MIOPO, or AΘþO.
The "guy" on the reverse is the deity, Mithras.

None of the coins I found had a spikey coat on the king or a trident. (He was always holding a spear.)
Seems to be an odd coin to make a strange duplicate of, but people do weird things when it comes to coins.
