CLOSED!
I am going to change things up here and have a different type of contest for all members. It's going to be a drawing for the prizes.
All you have to do is say "Count me in" in a reply to this contest topic and your forum username will be placed in a jar. On Friday 29, 2013 I will have my daughter pick a name out of the jar for the grand prize.
The grand prize will be the two volumes of the Cherry Pickers Guide, the winner will recieve the Fourth Edition Volume I softback, spiral bound and the Fourth Edition Volume II hardback, and these cover Large Cents to Silver Dollars.
And that's not all, the next 10 names pulled from the jar will receive a silver Roosevelt Dime from the 60's.
Finally, everyone else who enters will get either a Buffalo Nickel or Liberty V Nickel and I will do my best to send the nicest examples I have to the contestants.
So everyone wins in this contest! However, if you don't have at least 10 posts then you're not eligible for the books, but still can win a coin.

Guys, if you say you have the books then I my daughter will keep pulling names until we get a winner. However, you will get the silver dime, so thanks and just let me know if you have the books already.

Re: Thanksgiving Contest. Everyone Wins Something!
Daniel, Great Idea !! I had this idea for one of my future Contests . Isn't that Strange ? The book giveaway I mean.
I already have both Volumes, but " Count me in " for the Coin prize if you have enough and thanks for the Holiday Contest.
Maybe we can get a Big Contest set up for the Christmas one ? Anyone interested in DONATING 1 Nice Coin would be great !! Also, just because you make a Donation DOESN'T mean your excluded from playing either . I'm willing to Donate a $20 to $30 Coin and if we get several more in that range, it will be a GREAT Contest !! It doesn't even have to be a Silver Coin either. Copper Coins or a Book is just as good. Also, for each donation I'm willing to give the donator's a little something for helping out . That's what Christmas is all about. Give something and get something in return . I understand we all have our families to think about first, so ONLY donate something already in your collection. Don't go an buy a Coin just for the Contest. Sound good Everyone ???
Take Care and Good luck everyone !!

Re: Thanksgiving Contest. Everyone Wins Something!
:winnah: Great idea Sal. I'm in for the December Holiday Extravaganza if it happens. And you're right about keeping it simple and affordable so as many as possible can participate! (Can we please make sure we include all those with different or no religious affinity that might also like to celebrate this time of year and want to participate? The more the merrier!!) :thumbsup:2centsal wrote: Daniel, Great Idea !! I had this idea for one of my future Contests . Isn't that Strange ? The book giveaway I mean.

Thanks Daniel for another all inclusive contest. Hope everyone will feel confident enough to participate in all the contests. They help sharpen our eyes and perception and feel more confident about the coins we love. Participation is also a great way to say thank you to Daniel for keeping this site maintained and all the energy he puts into it.
:winnah: Daniel, I hope you gave your daughter the excitement of a "drum roll, Please" when drawing the grand prize winner. Congratulations Montie1977. Do us all proud with lots and lots of use!! happydance:
