ENDED!!!!!!! Winners Announced!
In this contest you have four coins and I want the correct answers to four questions. Whoever get's the correct answers to the question or the most answers wins the 1858 Flying Eagle Cent, second best answers get's a 1904 Indian Head Cent. I provided images of both prize coins. The contest ends Saturday, July 13th 2013 and winners will be announced that evening.
The contest questions are about the four coins below: Once to enter your answers you CANNOT edit them. A trivia contest is about the knowledge you have now and not what you learn after you answer the questions. Thanks!
1. What do all these coins have in common besides the fact they're all one cent coins?
2. Which coin is missing something important that makes it valuable?
3. Are all the coins in the images uncirculated?
4. Of the four coins which is the most valuable?

Re: Contest #2 Win A Flying Eagle Cent or Indian Head Cent
It's time to end this contest and surprised that more people didn't give this one a go. Anyway here's the answers to the questions.
Q. What do all these coins have in common?
A. All of them are proof coins, even the 1909-S. I used the most un-proof like image to make it confusing.
Q. Which coin is missing something that makes it valuable?
A. The 1990-S is the rare No S.
Q. Are all the coins uncirculated?
A. Yes, all coins are uncirculated.
Q. Which of the four coins is the most valuable?
A. The 1858 PR66 Flying Eagle Cent is worth more than the 1990 No S Cent, because this particular 1990 No S is still housed in the proof set and is ungraded, and ungraded 1990 No S in proof sets can be bought for under $4,000. Remember I have to use tricks to trip everyone up so you can't just go out and find the exact answers.
Now for the winners:
Steven_B answered 3 out of four questions correctly and so did bafflez. The tie breaker will be who posted first and that would be Steven_B.
So congrats to Steven_B and bafflez on winning the contest!!!!! :trophy:

Re: ENDED!!!!!!! Winners Announced!
it would have been a more fair contest if we knew if the coins were graded or not

Re: ENDED!!!!!!! Winners Announced!
I will make a note of this next time but I had to throw a trick in like this or there would be too many winners, then I would have to have a tie breaker to decide who would win the first place prize. These contest can get complicated and controversial in a hurry when deciding the winners and hope you can understand that.marks460 wrote:it would have been a more fair contest if we knew if the coins were graded or not
Thanks for entering and I will do my best to be as fair as possible in the upcoming contest.
Re: ENDED!!!!!!! Winners Announced!
i wasn't really complaining it just makes a huge differance in a contest like this one if any or all of the coins are graded or not-these contests are still challanging and fun though=thanks :thumbsup:Daniel wrote:I will make a note of this next time but I had to throw a trick in like this or there would be too many winners, then I would have to have a tie breaker to decide who would win the first place prize. Congrat's Steven !!
Daniel, your absolutely right. If you make it too easy then it's not challenging . I would of never guessed all Proof though. Very sneaky. Like they say on the show Big Brother, " Expect the unexpected". Now we all will know to think harder.
Thanks for the Contest ! 2centSal
