4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.

7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). Our community is not a soap box for complaining or drama, so please refrain from doing so here.[/size]

Winner! Taniel

Guess how many coins are in this jar (below), and win the AU 1923-D Peace pictured below the jar. The coin is valued at $30 and graded AU55 by me.

You don't have to guess the exact number of coins, but who ever guesses the exact amount first, wins instantly. If no exact guesses, the member closest to the amount wins. In case of a tie, I will award both members with a silver dollar in the same condition, but the date might vary.

The contest will run until there's an exact guess or until Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 9:00 Eastern Standard Time. I live in Ohio.

Note: One answer per person, and you can't guess the same number as another member who posted before you. Also, this is a Mason pint jar, with SBA's, cents, nickels, quarters, dimes, etc.

It just turned 9:00 PM in Ohio, and the total number of coins in the jar is 304. Taniel came the closest with a guess of 220. Congradulations Taniel! :trophy:

peace dollars have always been one of my favorite US coins, I believe the portrait is the engravers wife? Cheers taniel!

Yup, it was modeled after Teresa de Francisci, the wife of Anthony de Francisci.
