I guess buying a few nuggets is the closest I will get to finding a gold nugget, but then there's some pay dirt for sale as well. I bet the pay dirt is about as good as those so-called unsearched coin rolls. I might just stick to watching Gold Rush. widegrin

Why not buy a gold nugget if you can't go panning?

Re: Why not buy a gold nugget if you can't go panning?
But it is fun. Being disabled and cannot get out on the banks of the creeks and rivers anymore I have ran a lot of "buy on the net" pay dirt. I can tell you it is no way to get rich. Like those "unsearched" coin rolls they sell on the net. Some pay dirt is better than others. But those guys really know what they have before they sell it. Most is salted. And some is exactly what they advertise and has absolutely nothing in it. I built a very small sluice and recirculating system to run the material. Many hours of good entertainment. I haven't bought any since the price of gold got so high. But it did sell the gold I had at the high price. :) Maybe if the price of gold drops some more, I'll start running the pay dirt again.

I agree and I doubt it's a rip off like the rolls.
